Talk about the most brutal wake-up call in crypto history.

A Cardano address that had been completely silent since July 2020 suddenly came back to life yesterday… and immediately set $6.2 million on fire in a single transaction.

According to ZachXBT and flagged by Lookonchain, the whale swapped 14.45 million $ADA — worth roughly $7.08 million at the time — for $USDA on Cardano DeFi.

Because the $USDA liquidity pool was tiny (we’re talking microscopic), the trade suffered catastrophic slippage. The whale only received 847,694 $USDA in return.

That’s an instant $6.2 million loss in one click.

For anyone new to this kind of pain: when you try to swap a huge amount on a pool with almost no liquidity, the price impact (slippage) goes parabolic. The deeper you go into the pool, the worse the rate gets — until you’re basically just donating your tokens to liquidity providers.

This whale basically drained whatever tiny $USDA pool existed and still didn’t even get $1 million worth of stablecoins back.

Five years of HODLing through bear markets, multiple cycles, endless “Cardano top 3 incoming” tweets… all to wake up one day and yeet 87% of the bag in seconds because they didn’t check the liquidity chart.

Absolute legend-tier degen move, but the wrong kind of legend.
