If you've ever tried sniping a hot new meme token on Solana during a pump, you know the pain of network congestion all too well. Transactions slow to a crawl, fees skyrocket, and opportunities slip away. But a recent update from Liam Vovk, co-founder and CTO of Helius, highlights how their transaction sending optimizations are shining bright in these tough conditions.
In a tweet shared on September 23, 2025, Liam showcased ping test results comparing Helius's staked endpoint against QuickNode and another provider (labeled as "rpc"). These tests measure slot latency – that's the time it takes for a transaction to land in a slot on the blockchain – and confirmation times during real-world congestion on Solana.
Looking at the dashboard, Helius's staked endpoint clocks in with an average slot latency of just 1.83 seconds and a confirmation time of 0.73 seconds. QuickNode trails at 4.11 seconds for latency and 1.64 seconds for confirmation, while the standard RPC lags even further at 2.19 seconds and 0.88 seconds. The graphs below show consistent performance from Helius, with higher landing rates (around 100%) and lower spikes in latency compared to the others.
For the uninitiated, RPC stands for Remote Procedure Call – it's essentially the gateway that lets apps and traders interact with the Solana blockchain, like sending transactions or querying data. During congestion, which often hits when meme tokens like the latest dog or cat-themed coin go viral, a superior RPC can mean the difference between landing a trade and watching it fail.
Liam notes that these optimizations are particularly noticeable for Solana native traders, a group that includes the meme token community chasing quick flips. With Solana's ecosystem buzzing with meme activity, tools like this give users an edge in high-stakes environments.
Helius isn't stopping here – Liam teases "many more improvements to come," which could further solidify their position as a go-to for meme token hunters and developers alike. If you're building or trading on Solana, check out their transaction sender docs to get started.
This kind of infrastructure boost is exactly what the meme token space needs to keep evolving, making Solana even more accessible and efficient for everyone from casual traders to pro snipers. Stay tuned for more updates as the blockchain world continues to speed up.
