Monad Boosts User Safety: Transaction Simulation Live in Backpack, MetaMask, and Phantom Wallets

Keone Hon, co-founder and GM of Monad, just highlighted a major usability win for the Monad ecosystem: transaction simulation is now fully supported in popular wallets including Backpack, MetaMask, and Phantom.

In a tweet posted today, Hon explained that users can now see the projected consequences of their transactions before confirming them. This feature acts like a "preview" mode, showing exactly what will happen on-chain—such as token balances changes, approvals, or potential errors—helping prevent scams, fat-finger mistakes, and unexpected outcomes.

For those new to the concept: transaction simulation runs the transaction in a sandboxed environment on the blockchain node, predicting the exact results without actually executing it on the main chain. It's become a standard safety tool in wallets, often powered by services like Blockaid (which Hon gave a shoutout to for behind-the-scenes work).

This integration is especially valuable on Monad, a high-performance parallel EVM Layer 1 designed for massive throughput (think 10,000+ TPS with sub-second finality). In fast-moving environments like Monad's testnet or upcoming mainnet, being able to simulate helps users move confidently without fearing reversals or exploits.

Hon thanked the teams at Backpack, MetaMask, Phantom, and Blockaid for the quick implementation. Community replies were quick to praise the move, with users calling it "wizard work" and a big step toward safer interactions.

Phantom even jumped in with a clean demo video showing the simulation in action:

Other wallets like Rabby and Haha were mentioned in replies, but simulation isn't available there yet—though Haha has strengths like automatic NFT detection.

As Monad continues to build toward mainnet, features like this show a strong focus on user experience and security. If you're trading, swapping, or bridging on Monad, make sure your wallet is updated to take advantage of simulation—it's one of the best defenses in DeFi today.
